Founded by Sir Peter Rigby in 1992, The Rigby Foundation is the Rigby family’s charitable foundation (No. 1207788), delivering on the family’s core belief that giving back to society should go hand-in-hand with being successful in business.

Over the last 30 years, the Foundation has supported multiple charities and causes, with an emphasis on those that are close to the communities in which Rigby Group operates.

In late 2023, Sonia Chhatwal joined The Rigby Foundation as Executive Director.  Since then we have refined our strategic priorities, and our funding is now focussed on supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the West Midlands and on programmes to help students to succeed in education and to have the best possible opportunity to secure meaningful and sustainable employment.
