Rigby Group backs Project MADE to unlock £44bn advanced manufacturing growth in West Midlands
Rigby Group has supported the publication of a new industry‑led report setting out a long‑term plan to strengthen advanced manufacturing in the West Midlands.
Project MADE brings together businesses, academic institutions and public sector partners to improve coordination, investment and growth across the region’s manufacturing ecosystem.
Chaired by Steve Rigby, CEO of Rigby Group, the initiative outlines a 10‑year vision to drive productivity, attract investment and create new skilled jobs.
Steve Rigby, CEO of Rigby Group, said: “The central question is not whether the Midlands has the capability to compete but how it will deploy its assets effectively in an increasingly competitive global environment. We believe the region is globally competitive, among the leading advanced manufacturing clusters worldwide. The foundations for success are firmly in place; Project MADE is about mobilising them with purpose and urgency.”
The report proposes the creation of a new advanced manufacturing supercluster to help turn world‑class research into scaled production and secure the region’s long‑term competitiveness.
